Azuresong
Left to my own devices,
I move through life seeking its surprises.
The endless struggle of right and wrong,
this endless war wages ever long.
I tread through my heart for a piece or a clue,
to determine now, what I ought to do.
Even though I've no clue what places I'll go,
I just drift along, trusting in life's flow.
I believe in myself, but sometimes I doubt,
when it feels my inner light has been snuffed out.
My soul reaches out, grasping at the sky,
trying to draw strength from purpose and light.
"I want to make them all shine bright, just like stars in the darkest night."
But.. I'm confused, never knowing whats next,
the thoughts make goose bumps run down my neck.
I retreat to my sanctuary, deep in my mind,
but now it seems that I'm stuck in a bind.
A sense of nostalgia, and a sense of fear,
for the feelings that inevitably come here.
My heart cries out -- my thoughts disagree -- for all the feelings coming over me.
I struggle to think and try to forget,
but its useless, I'm trapped in this net.
The feelings take over -- they are far too strong -- but thats the reason for this song.
A song of feeling, a song of plight, a song of weakness, and a song of light.
A song that reaches the vast skies, and brings out from the heavens, clouds that cry.
An angel of reason, with a truthful mind, cuts away the net that was making me blind.
Wisdom beams down from the sky -- a searing light -- sending the dark shroud far from sight.
All I see now, this shade of blue,
a sky of freedom and a new life view.
This ode of feelings and rights and wrongs,
I keep in my heart; my Azuresong.

Angel of Courage - dedicated to Katiekit
Angel of courage, how sweet you are,
Sincerity so great, from one so small.
Your tenets shine forth as a brilliant light,
I see you now, even on this darkest night.
Your life a blessing, and laughter a charm,
If only I could have kept you safe from harm.
One such as you, too great for this world,
Summoned by God Himself to stand by our Lord.
Our hearts now hold this light you gave,
I'll carry it forever, and in to my grave.
Oh Angel of courage, spread your wings and fly,
away from this place and into the sky,
My soul marked with sin, my spark nearly gone,
That I remain instead of you, seems horribly wrong.
Even so, I'll fight by your side again some day,
My promise to you--my debt to be paid.
Our tears we give freely, to bring you news,
of the pain we feel deeply at our loss of you
Each day we move on, and hope to attain,
the purity of your heart, and the will to sustain.
Katie, I have never met you face to face,
But you touched my heart with your benevolent grace,
This is not over, no, it is only the start,
You have my word, and a place in my heart.

Thank you Andreynn, I probably should write more often. I have written a lot more than this previously though, I have a page on allpoetry.com, lol.
